POSITION SUMMARY:                

This position is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of EDI processes and tools. Serves as a resource and subject matter expert to coordinate efforts across all stakeholders, including business users, IT, and third party vendors.   • Two (2) years of experience in business and/or systems analysis.
  • One (1) year of technical experience with EDI tools and processes.
  • Experience with EDI 943,944, 940, 945, 315, 214 856, 304, 300 and/or equivalent documents.
  • Knowledge of ANSI X12 EDI Standards (810, 830, 862 & 856) or equivalent.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Office suite, including Excel.
  • Ability to communicate (speak, read and write) in English and Spanish at an intermediate to advanced level.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to think logically, follow procedures, instructions and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment within established systems and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, with limited supervision, multitask and possess strong initiative.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors and fellow employees.
  • Ability to work extended hours, holidays, and/or weekends as needed.


  • Industry related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field.




  • Provide functional knowledge and technical support to the business unit through developed and ad hoc analysis/reporting, as well as designing new processes/reports
  • Coordinate all EDI testing, implementations, and upgrades.
  • Monitor the EDI workflow to prevent any errors, in collaboration with key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders.
  • Analyze EDI processes, make recommendations for business and/or systems process improvements.
  • Maintain up to date documentation on each EDI customer contacts, specific rules for order exceptions, etc.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and process flow of all EDI processes
  • Participate in the development, and delivery of software applications training programs and individual classes.
  • Develops and maintains crosswalking and validation rules for file exchanges.
  • Applies in-depth knowledge of systems and business to the development of technical design for large complex processes and projects.


  • Works on special projects, as required.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Reports directly to Business Systems Manager; does not exercise supervision over any other position. 



  • Indoors office environment most of the time where the exposure is a controlled temperature and office environment.
  • May be exposed to changes in temperature and humidity when supporting users in the warehouse.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually busy with many phone conversations going on simultaneously.
  • When in the warehouse, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy and will have some exposure to dust, fumes, and/or airborne particles.
